In honor of 3-day infant killed by US, ‘Israel’, IRGC launches wave 57
Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that the 57th wave of Operation True Promise 4 has been launched and that it was carried out against strategic targets in the occupied Palestinian territories and a major US military base in the region.
The IRGC dedicated this wave to a three-day-old infant killed in a recent US-Israeli attack inside Iran.
According to a statement reported by Tasnim news agency, citing the IRGC’s Public Relations Office, the latest wave of the operation targeted sites in the heart of the occupied territories, including infrastructure linked to command-and-control communications and missile defense systems.
The strikes were conducted using precision ballistic missiles, including Kheibar Shekan, Emad, and Ghadr missiles, which are capable of carrying out highly accurate strikes on designated targets.
Strike on US Al-Udeid Airbase
The IRGC statement also confirmed that the Al-Udeid Airbase was targeted during the same wave.
The base in Qatar is critical to the US, being the largest American military installation in the region. It hosts the Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) and serves as a vital command hub for US air operations across 21 nations.
According to the statement, the operation involved medium-range ballistic missiles, including Zolfaghar and Qiam missiles, which use solid and liquid fuel, respectively, in addition to advanced one-way attack drones.
The operation forms part of the ongoing retaliatory campaign launched by Iran following the recent US-Israeli aggression against Iranian territory.
According to the statement, the attack killed the infant while he was in his mother’s arms, along with his mother, two-year-old sister, and grandmother.
The IRGC described Mojtaba as “the youngest martyr of the Ramadan War,” saying his killing stands as further evidence of what it characterized as the brutality of US and Israeli attacks on civilians.
The statement also pointed to the silence of international human rights institutions and governments on attacks targeting civilians, including strikes on schools and hospitals, which it said has emboldened the continuation of such criminal action. The IRGC emphasized that the killing of the infant would strengthen Iran’s resolve in confronting the US and Israeli aggression.
It warned that those responsible for ordering, executing, and supporting the attack would face retaliation, stressing that the blood of the slain child would not go unanswered.
