Gaza: A Truce Without Peace and Unending Bloodshed

The ceasefire in Gaza has failed to extinguish the flames of aggression or alleviate the suffering of the people. Israeli violations continue daily, amidst a suffocating siege that exacerbates living conditions and deepens the humanitarian crisis on all levels.

The situation in the Gaza Strip is no longer confined to moments of war or truce; it has become a constant state of anxiety, characterized by relentless bombing, the denial of basic necessities to civilians, and the near-total collapse of the health, education, and service sectors.

Figures Reveal the Scale of the Bloodshed
Data released by the Ministry of Health in Gaza confirms that the human cost of the aggression continues unabated. Two martyrs and 25 injuries were recorded in just 48 hours, as ambulance crews struggle to reach victims trapped under rubble or in targeted areas.

Statistics indicate that the number of martyrs since the start of the aggression in October 2023 has risen to over 72,000, in addition to more than 172,000 injuries. Hundreds of victims remain unaccounted for, reflecting the continued human toll even under the declared truce.

The number of martyrs since the ceasefire was declared last October has also reached hundreds, a clear indication of the fragility of the agreement and the continuation of the aggression in various forms.

Violations and an Agreement Without Guarantees
The Zionist enemy continues to violate the ceasefire agreement through artillery and airstrikes, gunfire from military vehicles and naval vessels, and the bombing and demolition of residential buildings in various areas of the Gaza Strip. Palestinian sources believe that these violations reflect a clear intention to keep Gaza under constant military pressure and prevent any real opportunity for stability or reconstruction, in the absence of a firm international stance that would compel the entity to fulfill its obligations.

Education Under the Rubble

In another aspect of the tragedy, the education sector in Gaza is facing an unprecedented collapse, with hundreds of thousands of children deprived of education since the beginning of the aggression. International bodies, primarily UNRWA, are attempting to provide limited educational alternatives through shelters and digital platforms. However, these efforts remain insufficient to compensate for the significant educational losses, given the restrictions imposed on the work of humanitarian organizations.

This reality threatens the future of an entire generation, placing them before complex psychological and educational challenges in an environment lacking even the most basic stability.

Al-Aqsa Under Attack

In parallel with what is happening in Gaza, concerns are escalating regarding Al-Aqsa Mosque. The mosque’s preacher, Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, warned against the enemy’s attempts to impose direct control over the mosque’s administration, given its continued prolonged closures. He emphasized that these measures represent a dangerous precedent and aim to alter the religious and historical reality of Jerusalem, calling for effective Arab and Islamic action to stop these violations.

The truce is in danger.

On the political level, Hamas called on international mediators to take a clear stance against the Zionist enemy, warning that its continued aggression undermines the truce agreement and opens the door to renewed escalation. The movement believes that recent Zionist statements reflect a premeditated intention to sabotage the agreement, given the enemy’s refusal to withdraw from agreed-upon areas and its continued targeting of civilians and infrastructure.

Gaza: Suffering without end.
In light of these circumstances, Gaza appears trapped in a vicious cycle of aggression and siege, where humanitarian crises intertwine with security and political challenges, with no real signs of imminent relief. The Strip is currently experiencing a continuous drain on resources, not only in terms of human losses but also in the erosion of the foundations of life and the threat to the future of entire generations, amidst international silence that exacerbates the tragedy instead of ending it.
