Wave 96 of “True Promise 4”: Concentrated Strikes on Energy Hubs Target Haifa and the Negev, and US Interests in the Gulf

In a significant escalation reflecting the shift of the confrontation to targeting sensitive economic infrastructure, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced today, Sunday, the execution of the 96th wave of Operation “True Promise 4.” This involved a broad and coordinated attack targeting energy facilities and oil and petrochemical infrastructure belonging to the US-Zionist enemy in the occupied territories and several countries in the region.

In a statement, the IRGC explained that this operation was in response to the US-Zionist aggression that targeted the “B1” bridge in Karaj and petrochemical facilities in Mahshahr. The statement emphasized that “Wave 96” was carried out as the first phase of a broader retaliatory response, with the joint participation of the naval and aerospace forces, and was dedicated to the “martyred children.”

He explained that the strikes targeted the enemy’s energy infrastructure, specifically a vital refinery in Haifa used to refuel the occupation entity’s fighter jets. This resulted in the destruction of key parts of the refinery, a strike with strategic implications for the enemy’s operational capabilities.

The operations extended deep into the Gulf, targeting gas facilities belonging to the American companies ExxonMobil and Chevron in the Habshan area of the UAE. A missile attack was also launched against an American petrochemical complex in Ruwais, causing widespread fires.

The strikes also included drone attacks on the Sitra petrochemical facility in Bahrain and the Shuaiba facility in Kuwait. These attacks resulted in large fires and a complete shutdown of the facilities, clearly indicating the breadth of the operations and the precision of the target bank.

Deep within the occupied Palestinian territories, enemy media outlets acknowledged that ballistic missiles had struck wide areas of the Negev and Beersheba. The sensitive industrial zone of Neot Hovav (Ramat Hovav), a major center for chemical industries and hazardous waste, was targeted for the third time.

Hebrew reports indicated massive explosions and plumes of smoke, along with warnings of potential toxic leaks. Sirens wailed in areas stretching from Dimona and Arad to Beersheba, highlighting the inability of the enemy’s defense systems to intercept the strikes.

The Zionist enemy media also acknowledged the continued high rate of Iranian missile launches, despite more than a month having passed since the start of the confrontation. This directly contradicts Israeli military assessments that had predicted a decline in Iranian capabilities.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) asserted that the Zionist-American enemy’s resort to targeting civilian infrastructure reflects its failure on land, sea, and air fronts. It emphasized that this was only the first phase of the response, and that any further escalation would be met with more intense and widespread counterattacks, inflicting even greater losses on the aggressors.

The statement indicated that the damage inflicted on Iran would be compensated by the enemy, stressing that American taxpayers would bear the cost of these attacks. This sent a clear message that the cost of the aggression is now open-ended and escalating.

These developments come in the context of the American-Zionist aggression that began on February 28, targeting vital civilian infrastructure in Iran. Meanwhile, Tehran, through “True Promise 4,” continues to establish a new deterrent equation, the core of which is striking at the enemy’s economic heartland and imposing an escalating strategic cost for the continuation of the aggression.
