Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei: The Iranian Navy is Ready to Inflict New Defeats on the Enemies
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Supreme Commander of the Iranian Armed Forces, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, issued a message on the occasion of the 29th of Farvardin (April 18), the auspicious anniversary of the founding of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran. In his message, he emphasized that the Iranian Armed Forces are fully prepared to inflict new defeats on the enemies. He noted that the Army fights in solid ranks, shoulder to shoulder with the other branches of the Armed Forces, engaging the armies of the front of disbelief and arrogance.
Ayatollah Khamenei extended his congratulations to all members of the Army, their families, and the great Iranian nation on this occasion. He said: “The victory of the Islamic Revolution marks a turning point in the history of the army, and it must be considered the end of an era of weakness imposed on the army and its brave and honest soldiers by the enemies of this nation and by the hands of traitors within. Since then, the army has stood in its rightful place. Instead of being subservient to the corrupt and tyrannical Pahlavi regime, it has found itself in the warm embrace of the people, for the army is truly a son of the people and springs from the homes of the people.”
He added: “The army quickly stood its ground, writing epics against the malicious schemes of America, the remnants of the Pahlavi tyrant, and the separatists who wanted to tear Iran apart. Today, the Army of Islam, as in the two previous imposed wars, is valiantly defending the land, the waters, and the banner to which it belongs, relying on a strong divine and popular foundation. It fights in solid, unwavering ranks, shoulder to shoulder with all the mujahideen in the armed forces, engaging the armies of the head of the front of disbelief and arrogance, exposing their weakness and humiliation before the eyes of the world. And just as its drones deliver devastating strikes against the American and Zionist criminals, its courageous naval force is ready to inflict new bitter defeats upon the enemies.”
His Eminence continued: “On the other hand, the 29th of Farvardin is also the birth anniversary of the unique figure of his time, our great martyred leader, who, from the very first decade of the Islamic Revolution, exerted the utmost efforts to preserve the army against the sinister calls for its dissolution, and then strove to enhance its capabilities in various fields. Undoubtedly, the development of the diverse capabilities of this authentic national institution, which safeguards the country from east to west and from north to south, must be pursued with redoubled vigor, and God willing, the necessary measures to achieve this will be issued in the near future.”
He added: “In this context, looking at the faces of the heroes who led and guided the army through successive generations of leadership over the past five decades—many of whom have joined the ranks of martyrs—as well as their programs, actions, and noble, sincere lives, will be an inspiring lesson and a source of inspiration for all components of the armed forces. From great figures such as Qarni, Fallahi, Namjoo, Fakouri, Babaei, Sattari, Ardestani, and Sayyad Shirazi, to its most recent prominent martyrs, Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi and Aziz Nasirzadeh.”
Mr. Mojtaba Khamenei concluded: “The peace and greetings of God Almighty be upon all the mujahideen of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, from its commanders and officers to its employees and unknown and unsung soldiers, and the peace and greetings of God Almighty be upon all its wounded and sacrificed, and the peace and mercy of the Creator be upon the noble families of all the martyrs of the war imposed by America and the Zionist entity on the great Iranian people. Peace be upon you and the mercy of God and His blessings.”
