How did the martyr leader expose America’s post-9/11 schemes and protect the nation from hegemony through his “slogan”?

In the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks, when America used the so-called “war on terror” as a pretext to target the Islamic world and undermine its existence, and after all nations, with their regimes, leaders, and puppets, submitted to American dictates and directives, the voice of truth resonated across the entire planet from Yemen. It was launched by the martyr leader, Sayyid Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi (may God be pleased with him), at a pivotal historical moment. This voice served as a safeguard for the nation and an impregnable fortress against the schemes of neo-colonialism, which employed diverse methods of domination. It confronted the prevailing silence and subjugation, shattering the state of humiliation and surrender, and revealing the true objectives of the American-Zionist movement. This alarmed Washington, prompting the then-oppressive regime to launch six wars against Sa’dah Governorate.

The Muslim Ummah Under Attack

Following the 9/11 attacks, America immediately embarked on implementing dangerous plans targeting the very existence of the Muslim world, and the Arab region in particular. These objectives, as revealed by the Quranic project, were nothing more than a new form of colonialism aimed at directly controlling the Ummah’s resources and wealth, undermining its unity as a nation and its people, and scattering and crushing it.

In light of this deteriorating reality, the prevailing silence, and the eagerness of some to comply with American plans, a different stance and a free voice emerged from Yemen. On Thursday, January 17, 2002, approximately four months after the events of September 11, Sayyid Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi (may God be pleased with him) launched his Quranic project, rejecting subjugation and surrender. Creating resentment against America and Israel: The martyred leader affirms that one of the most important benefits of the slogan is that it creates resentment against America, something they spend billions trying to prevent. The enemies are very keen to ensure that we do not harbor resentment against them, because this resentment creates real immunity against their projects. They strive to redirect this resentment towards leaders and regimes, while they spend enormous sums building schools and health centers to suppress any resentment against them.

A religious act that disturbed the enemies: Despite its apparent simplicity, the slogan greatly disturbed America and its allies because it was a religious act, undertaken in the name of God. The American ambassador himself stated, “His country does not want the Arab people’s animosity to become religious,” realizing that they would be defeated if the confrontation took on a religious character. They preferred it to be framed under other banners, such as “the homeland” or “defending the homeland.”

Even the imprisonment of the mujahideen who raised the slogan in the dungeons of the oppressive regime at that time demonstrated the nation’s steadfastness and strength.

An important factor in activating the economic boycott: The martyred leader emphasized the importance of the economic boycott and the slogan’s impact on its activation. The cry signifies intense discontent, and those who raise it can strike America economically before America strikes them militarily. The economic boycott is extremely debilitating for the enemies, and they consider it a war due to its profound impact.

Protecting the nation from enemy infiltration: The slogan serves as a shield for the nation against the infiltration of its enemies.
