Civil Defences: Around 8,000 martyrs are under the rubble of homes in Gaza

Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Bassal confirmed on Thursday that more than 1,000 homes in the Gaza Strip still contain the bodies of martyrs under their rubble, noting that the total number of martyrs is estimated at around 8,000.

Bassal explained that Civil Defense teams are facing significant difficulties in reaching many of the targeted areas due to the widespread destruction and the lack of resources necessary for search and rescue operations.

It is worth noting that the cumulative death toll since the beginning of the offensive on October 7, 2023, has reached 72,562, and the cumulative number of injuries has reached 172,320, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
