Gaza Bleeds: A Health Catastrophe and Deep-Rooted Resistance

Amid the ongoing Israeli aggression and its catastrophic repercussions, the humanitarian and field situation in Palestine is becoming increasingly clear. Health crises are worsening in the Gaza Strip, and crimes and violations continue in the West Bank and Jerusalem, while the option of steadfastness and resistance is gaining momentum.

A Worsening Health Catastrophe
In the Gaza Strip, health conditions are deteriorating at an unprecedented rate, with more than 17,000 cases of parasitic infections among displaced people. This is exacerbated by a polluted environment and a lack of basic necessities. Data confirms that more than 80% of displacement camps are experiencing widespread skin diseases. Meanwhile, the health sector is suffering near-total collapse after the destruction of hundreds of medical facilities and a severe shortage of medicines and supplies, a consequence of the ongoing siege and the prevention of essential equipment from entering Gaza.

Ongoing Aggression

On the ground, the Zionist enemy continues its violations of the ceasefire agreement, leaving more martyrs and wounded. The total death toll since the start of the aggression has risen to more than 72,000 martyrs and over 172,000 wounded, most of whom are women and children. The bodies of a number of victims remain under the rubble, as rescue teams are unable to reach them due to the widespread destruction and ongoing bombardment. The targeting of civilians also continues, with a child succumbing to injuries sustained from enemy gunfire. This coincides with repeated shelling and the demolition of residential buildings, reflecting the nature of the aggression and its direct targeting of civilian life.

Jerusalem Under Attack

In occupied Jerusalem, the pace of incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque is escalating. More than 2,130 settlers stormed the mosque compound in a single week, under heavy protection from the Israeli occupation forces. These incursions were accompanied by the performance of Talmudic rituals and repeated provocations, as part of attempts to impose a new reality within the Al-Aqsa compound. This has led to increased calls for mobilization, steadfastness, and resistance against these violations.

The West Bank Under Fire
In the West Bank, settler and Israeli attacks continue at an escalating pace, including forced displacement, arson, and direct assaults on Palestinian citizens. These attacks resulted in the deaths of six Palestinians in a single week, in addition to hundreds of violations across various governorates, as part of a systematic policy targeting the land and its people. The Jenin refugee camp also witnessed significant developments after Palestinians managed to break the siege and enter the camp, despite the stringent Israeli measures.

A Continuing Option
In the face of this escalation, the features of Palestinian steadfastness are evident, whether in the continuation of popular action or the adherence to the option of resistance, as the natural response to the crimes of the Zionist enemy. In this context, Hamas affirmed that holding municipal elections in Deir al-Balah represents a positive step towards strengthening the popular will, while emphasizing the necessity of completing the process through comprehensive elections that renew national legitimacy.

An Open Scene
Ultimately, the reality in Palestine reflects a complex scene in which the humanitarian catastrophe intertwines with the Zionist escalation, amidst the ongoing aggression and the expansion of its violations. Despite the magnitude of the challenges, the resilience of the Palestinian people and their adherence to their rights stand out in the face of a project targeting their very existence. This leaves the scene open to further confrontation, given the absence of any real prospect for halting the aggression or ending the suffering of civilians.
