Salary Payments for February 2026 Begin
The Ministries of Finance and Civil Service and Administrative Development announced the commencement of salary payments for February 2026 to public service units, in accordance with the State Employees’ Salary Payments Program stemming from the Exceptional Mechanism Law for Supporting the Provision of State Employee Salaries and Settling Small Depositors’ Debts.
In a joint statement, the two ministries explained that the payments were disbursed through the Ministry of Finance to the Central Bank of Yemen, and subsequently to the General Postal Authority and the Cooperative Agricultural Credit Bank (CAC Bank), based on the payroll lists issued by the Ministry of Civil Service.
The statement emphasized that the exceptional mechanism for providing employee salaries and settling small depositors’ debts represents a temporary, exceptional solution. It stressed that this does not absolve the countries participating in the aggression against Yemen from paying salaries and compensation to all public service employees affected by the aggression, as these countries control the oil and gas revenues that previously covered the salary budget.
