Iran reaffirms its unwavering support for the resistance and the restoration of rights. Araqchi, in a message to the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, stated: “We will not abandon Lebanon.”
The Islamic Republic of Iran reaffirmed its commitment to its national rights and its steadfast position in the face of American pressures and threats, while simultaneously affirming its continued support for the Islamic resistance in Lebanon, headed by Hezbollah, as part of the equation of confrontation with the Zionist project in the region.
In this context, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, in a message addressed to Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem, affirmed that Tehran will not back down from supporting movements demanding rights and freedom, stressing that Hezbollah is at the forefront of the forces that the Islamic Republic continues to support until the last moment.
Hezbollah media outlets reported that Araqchi stressed in his message that Iran has linked from the beginning any efforts to reduce escalation or ceasefire agreements to the necessity of including Lebanon, explaining that this principle has remained constant in Iranian positions since some countries in the region intervened as mediators to reduce tension.
The Iranian Foreign Minister pointed out that the latest proposal conveyed by Tehran through the Pakistani mediator, with the aim of permanently and stably ending the war, clearly included an emphasis on including Lebanon in the ceasefire, stressing that this issue represents an indisputable principle, and will remain among the basic demands of the Iranian government and the Iranian people.
Meanwhile, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, during his meeting with Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir, stressed that Iran will not give up the rights of its people to an untrustworthy and dishonest party, in reference to the United States, emphasizing that his country is acting to protect its interests and legitimate rights through diplomacy as well as defending them on the ground.
Qalibaf stressed that the Iranian armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any new escalation, warning that any folly committed by the US administration will be met with a stronger and more impactful response, in light of what he described as the rebuilding of Iranian military capabilities during periods of calm.
This comes in conjunction with regional diplomatic moves led by Pakistan to contain the tension and prevent the confrontation from widening, as the Pakistani army chief left Tehran after meetings with Iranian officials, as part of efforts to reduce escalation in a region witnessing continuous escalation in light of American and Zionist aggression and attempts to expand the circle of conflict.
