cleaning campaign ahead of Eid al-Adha
During the launch, Province Udersecretary for Services Affairs Mohammed Halisi stressed the importance of the campaign in highlighting the city’s beauty and civilized image, while ensuring a clean and healthy environment for residents and visitors celebrating Eid.
Executive Director of the Cleaning Fund Abdul Nasser al-Sharif explained that the initiative comes in line with leadership directives to enhance urban appearance, improve public services, and strengthen environmental performance.
According to al-Sharif, the campaign includes the removal of accumulated waste and debris from residential neighborhoods, main and secondary roads, and the Red Sea coastline, in addition to cleaning public spaces and recreational areas.
Following the launch, Halisi inspected several ongoing construction projects at the headquarters of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund. Halisi also reviewed the readiness of the Fund’s new administrative building, which is scheduled to officially open after the Eid al-Adha holiday and is expected to significantly improve administrative and field operations.
He praised the efforts of the Fund’s leadership, sanitation workers, and field staff, reaffirming the local authority’s support for initiatives that serve the community and enhance the image of Hodeida as a city of historical and tourism significance.
