A horrifying cumulative toll: 3,637 martyrs in Lebanon, and the Israeli enemy continues to destroy the April truce.
The cumulative death toll from the Israeli aggression against Lebanon continues to rise, reaching 3,637 martyrs and 11,188 wounded since the start of the latest Zionist military escalation on March 2nd. These documented figures reflect the widening scope of the systematic targeting of civilian sites and infrastructure, amidst international inability to enforce adherence to humanitarian agreements.
According to the daily statistical report from the Lebanese Ministry of Health’s Public Health Emergency Operations Center, published by the National News Agency, 24 people were killed and 116 others were injured in the past 24 hours alone. These official medical figures confirm the continuation of daily attacks at a high rate, with no signs of de-escalation on the ground.
Targeting the health sector and ambulance system
The official Ministry of Health report focuses on documenting direct attacks against medical teams; the number of healthcare workers killed and wounded reached 131, with 386 injured. These casualties resulted from 166 direct attacks carried out by the Israeli enemy army against ambulance crews, field hospitals, and vehicles transporting the wounded.
These attacks against the health sector reflect a Zionist strategy aimed at crippling Lebanese relief capabilities and preventing the rescue of the wounded from under the rubble in the towns of the South and the Bekaa Valley, which places these military practices under the purview of a clear violation of international conventions and the four Geneva Conventions.
The crisis of millions of displaced people and the destruction of residential neighborhoods
The ongoing Israeli escalation since March has displaced approximately 1.5 million Lebanese citizens from targeted villages and cities. Field data indicates that the vast majority of these displaced people are currently living outside official shelters and are not registered on government aid lists, thus exacerbating their economic and living burdens.
This widespread displacement came as a result of the enemy army’s policy of destroying entire residential blocks and turning border towns into uninhabitable areas, by targeting water and electricity networks, shops and historical buildings to force residents to leave their areas against their will.
Digital record of April ceasefire violations
Despite the temporary ceasefire agreement coming into effect in mid-April, data and field reports from the Lebanese government prove that the enemy army is committing daily and continuous violations that undermine the essence of the agreement:
Airspace violations: 3491 airspace violations were recorded, carried out by Israeli warplanes and drones through reconnaissance flights and surprise attack raids.
Ground operations: 407 bombings of houses and buildings, 6 land-clearing operations, in addition to 6 direct ground incursions by Zionist vehicles.
Targeting official forces: The ongoing attacks resulted in the martyrdom of 47 military personnel from the official Lebanese security forces (including 29 from the Lebanese army, 3 from the Internal Security Forces, and members of the General Security and State Security).
The consequences of a unilateral agreement and the collapse on the ground
These rising numbers present the countries sponsoring the truce agreement with a reality that proves that the ceasefire has turned into a one-sided commitment, while the enemy continues to exploit the temporary lull to carry out security strikes and update its field target bank, which threatens to completely collapse the agreement and return to the square of comprehensive confrontation.
In the absence of any curbing of these violations, humanitarian and medical institutions in Lebanon are facing increasing pressure to cover acute medical needs and secure the requirements of the displaced, which proves that the stability of the field situation is linked to the existence of binding international mechanisms capable of immediately stopping Zionist violations on the ground.
