In a letter to Qalibaf, Sheikh Naim Qassem said: Iran is an icon of pride and a champion of truth and the oppressed.

Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem sent a message to the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Dr. Mohammad Reza Qalibaf, in which he expressed his great gratitude for the strong Iranian positions supporting Lebanon, its people and its resistance, and linked the immediate and permanent cessation of military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, to the cessation of the war on Iran as the first and fundamental clause of the agreement between Iran and America.

He added: “You have turned the only effective glimmer of hope in stopping the Israeli-American aggression against Lebanon into the reality that Iran is a supporter of truth, resistance and the oppressed.”

He explained that if others had followed Iran’s path, America and Israel would not have become so tyrannical, and the Zionist occupation would not have remained entrenched on the land of Palestine and Jerusalem. He emphasized that Iran gave Hezbollah, the resistance, and the Lebanese people everything and took nothing in return.

He pointed out that Iran is shedding blood by confronting the Zionist entity in response to its bombing of the southern suburbs of Beirut, and is bearing the consequences that threaten war against it, along with great sacrifices.
