Araghchi links the Iranian and Lebanese fronts with a binding equation and gives Washington 60 days to dismantle the sanctions.
In a high-profile political move reflecting the conditions of victory imposed by Tehran on the battlefield, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi presented international diplomatic missions with the new geopolitical map of the region.
During an expanded and urgent meeting held in Tehran on Tuesday morning, Muharram 1, 1448 AH, with ambassadors, chargés d’affaires, and heads of foreign and international missions residing in the Iranian capital, Araqchi officially announced the launch of a new political and military phase, stressing that “the declaration of the end of the war” is the most prominent and important event resulting from the first phase of the agreement, which entered into actual implementation on Monday morning.
In unequivocal language, the Iranian Foreign Minister established the “unity of arenas” equation at the heart of the international agreement, declaring that “the end of the war in Lebanon is a binding issue for the end of the war with Iran,” and stressing that ending the aggression against Lebanese territory is an integral part of ending the war on the Islamic Republic, and necessarily includes the complete and unconditional withdrawal of the Zionist enemy entity from all Lebanese territory.
Araghchi also clearly identified the parties to the conflict and the signing, indicating that the first party in the memorandum of understanding is “America and the enemy entity,” in contrast to the second party, which is “Iran and Lebanon,” considering that any future Zionist military attack on Lebanon or the continued occupation of its lands is a direct and explicit violation of the entire memorandum of understanding.
Regarding the implementation steps and the future of the thorny issues, Araqchi revealed that the official start of implementing the memorandum of understanding will be next Friday, stressing that Tehran will raise, with its full sovereign will, the “nuclear file and the lifting of the comprehensive sanctions” in the final stage of the negotiations.
The Iranian Foreign Minister indicated that his country will engage in a decisive and time-bound round of negotiations lasting 60 days with the US administration, to extract a decision to dismantle sanctions and discuss the nuclear file from a position of strength and parity, which puts Zionist America and the occupying entity under the guillotine of commitment to the agreement or bear the consequences of the explosion again.
