Major General Al-Ruwaishan from Tehran: The “Neither War Nor Peace” Situation Cannot Continue… The Yemeni People Are Ready to Break the Siege

Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs and member of the National Delegation, Major General Jalal Al-Ruwaishan, affirmed that the Yemeni people will not accept the continuation of the “neither war nor peace” situation. He stressed that resuming the battle is preferable to the continuation of this ambiguous situation imposed on Yemen by the Saudi-led coalition.

This came during an important statement made by Major General Al-Ruwaishan from the Iranian capital, Tehran, while participating in a high-level Yemeni delegation that included official, political, popular, media, and religious figures. The delegation was on a solidarity visit to Tehran to offer condolences for the great tragedy that befell the Islamic Republic of Iran and the entire Muslim world.

Major General Al-Ruwaishan explained that the Yemeni delegation reflects the unity of the Yemeni position and the solidarity of the people in confronting challenges. He emphasized that such occasions strengthen the revival of the Muslim world and its unified stance against aggression, an issue that is overlooked by many regimes.

Decisive Messages to the Aggression Coalition

Major General Al-Ruwaishan delivered strong and decisive messages to the aggression coalition, stating that the Yemeni people are prepared and acting upon the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the political leadership. They are proceeding on one irreversible path: either the unjust blockade is lifted or a full-scale confrontation ensues.

Al-Ruwaishan warned that the enemies’ bet on the Yemeni people reaching a state of “defeat” is a losing one and will not succeed. He called on them to reconsider their actions and respond to the just humanitarian demands to open the airports and seaports—demands that have not been witnessed in any other conflicts around the world except in Yemen.

Major General Al-Ruwaishan concluded his statement with an unequivocal affirmation that Yemen possesses the wise leadership and popular unity necessary to “break the blockade by any means we deem appropriate” if reason does not prevail and the blockade is not completely lifted.

Summary of the situation

This statement reflects Sana’a’s growing impatience with the political stagnation and the continued unjust blockade, and presents the aggression coalition with two options, with no third alternative: either responding to humanitarian demands and lifting the blockade, or returning to a comprehensive military confrontation, for which the Yemeni side appears to have prepared with all firmness and strength.
