From universities to the fields of resistance… the popular mandate is renewed for the battle to break the siege

In a scene reflecting the cohesion of the home front and the expansion of the national alignment, Yemeni universities, with their various academic, administrative and student components, came out in massive public marches and rallies, to confirm that the Saudi aggression on Sana’a International Airport did not succeed in breaking the will of the Yemenis, but rather strengthened the popular mandate for the revolutionary and political leadership to proceed with the battle to break the siege, defend national sovereignty and preserve the right of the Yemeni people to move and live in dignity.

These popular movements come within the context of the national path established by the September 21 revolution, which is based on rejecting foreign tutelage, strengthening national independence, and relying on the will of the people in facing challenges, considering that the battle to break the siege has become today part of the battle for national liberation and preserving sovereign decision-making.

Universities: A front of awareness and support
Sana’a University witnessed a massive public and student march in which academics, administrators and students participated. During the march, participants affirmed their rejection of the Saudi aggression against Sana’a International Airport, and declared their full authorization for the leadership to take the necessary options to break the siege and end the aggression.

The participants stressed that targeting Sana’a airport was not only an attack on a civilian facility, but a direct attack on the right of Yemenis to travel, receive treatment and move around, and an attempt to reinstate the blockade that has failed to achieve its goals throughout the past years.

The participants also expressed their appreciation for the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in contributing to breaking the siege and facilitating humanitarian flights, considering this a practical position that enhances Yemen’s resilience in the face of the siege measures.

The September 21 Revolution: Building National Consciousness
The movement witnessed in universities reflects one of the most important features of the national project carried by the September 21 revolution, which made building a conscious human being who adheres to the sovereignty of his homeland the basis for building a free and independent state.

Universities, which represent beacons of knowledge and awareness, affirm through this presence that the battle to defend sovereignty is not the sole responsibility of the military establishment, but rather a national responsibility in which academics, students, intellectuals, and all segments of society participate.

This scene embodies the state of national consciousness that the revolution helped to establish, by promoting the values of dignity and independence and rejecting any form of guardianship or external hegemony.

Hodeidah: Confirmation of a unified stance
In this context, Al-Hudaydah University, in its various colleges and educational complexes, organized massive public rallies, during which it announced its condemnation of the Saudi aggression against Sana’a Airport, stressing that targeting the airport represents a flagrant violation of international laws and norms and a continuation of the siege policy imposed on the Yemeni people.

The participants renewed their full support for the revolutionary leadership, stressing their readiness to implement any options taken to protect national sovereignty and end the siege. They also expressed their support for the measures announced by the armed forces in response to the aggression.

The demonstrations emphasized that the continuation of the educational process, despite years of aggression and siege, represents in itself a national front of steadfastness, which thwarted the aggressors’ bets aimed at disrupting state institutions and weakening society.

These positions were not limited to a particular university, but reflected a national consensus within academic institutions, which affirmed from various governorates that the battle to break the siege represents a unifying national issue, and that the aggression against Sana’a Airport increased the cohesion of the home front and its support for the leadership.

Universities: The hallmark of national unity
The marches and demonstrations witnessed by Yemeni universities reveal that the aggression against Sana’a airport did not succeed in imposing a new reality, but rather contributed to expanding the circle of popular support around the leadership, and strengthening the state of national cohesion between the various institutions of the state and society.

Universities no longer just perform their academic role,
