Saudi Arabia’s three mistakes in renewing its aggression against Yemen

Saudi Arabia committed three mistakes (tactical, strategic, and political) when it decided to renew its aggression against Yemen.

Iraqi researcher and Gulf affairs analyst Najah Muhammad Ali told Mehr News Agency that the first of these mistakes is a tactical error: targeting Sana’a airport will open the door to expanding the scope of the war towards vital Saudi facilities within the framework of the equation to impose lifting the siege imposed on Yemen for more than 10 years.

Secondly, the strategic mistake: given its heavy reliance on the oil economy, Saudi oil and vital facilities become more vulnerable to attacks if it does not comply with Yemeni demands to lift the blockade and contain the escalation.

Third, the political mistake: continuing within the alliance of America and the Zionist entity at a time when Riyadh sees how Washington abandoned its allies in the Gulf during the last round of conflict with Iran.

He added that America’s push for Saudi Arabia to target Sana’a airport aims to drag the region into a full-scale war, predicting that the Yemeni response will not be limited to the equation of “airport for airport” or “port for port.”
