The Iranian army condemns the British decision regarding the Revolutionary Guard and affirms the unity of the armed forces in confronting threats.

The Iranian army strongly condemned the decision taken by the British parliament regarding the designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, considering it to be in the context of hostile Western policies aimed at targeting Iranian military institutions, stressing that the Iranian armed forces stand united behind the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the face of threats and attacks targeting the security and sovereignty of the Islamic Republic.

The Iranian army explained in a statement issued on Wednesday that the British action lacks any legal or objective basis and reflects the continuation of the Western approach to targeting Iranian military forces, stressing that such steps will not affect the performance of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps or its national and defensive role.

The statement asserted that the British decision reveals the malice and double standards that London employs in dealing with the counter-terrorism file, accusing the British government of adopting selective policies in classifying groups and military forces in a way that serves its political interests and strategic agendas.

The Iranian army stressed that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is one of the most prominent anti-terrorism forces and has played a pivotal role in confronting terrorist organizations and defending the security and stability of the West Asia region, stressing that the political and media campaigns targeting it will not diminish its status or its role in protecting Iran and preserving its national security.

In the same context, the statement directed sharp criticism at Britain, accusing it of having a long record of stirring up divisions and supporting terrorism in the region. It also held the Zionist entity and a number of Western governments responsible for supporting armed groups and employing them to achieve political and strategic goals.

The Iranian army concluded its statement by affirming the complete unity between the army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps under the command of the Iranian armed forces, stressing that all formations of the military establishment operate within a unified national system, and that they are fully prepared to confront any threats or attacks targeting the country’s security and sovereignty.
