The leader of the revolution: The day after tomorrow will be a stance and a decision… and the Saudi escalation will be met with a comprehensive escalation.
The leader of the revolution, Mr. Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, affirmed that Yemen has entered a pivotal stage in confronting Saudi policies, stressing that the continuation of aggression, siege and attempts to impose guardianship will not change the position of the Yemeni people, but will push towards more decisive options in defending freedom, sovereignty and legitimate rights.
In a speech addressing the latest developments, the leader explained that “the day after tomorrow is a position, a choice, and a decision that expresses the orientation and authenticity of this people,” in a message confirming that the next stage will witness practical positions stemming from the will of the Yemenis who reject submission and humiliation, and that the people will not accept the continuation of the policies of siege and aggression.
He stressed that the Saudi regime seeks to subjugate the Yemeni people economically, and push them to become dependent and abandon their national principles in exchange for money, considering that this equation has failed, because Yemen possesses wealth and capabilities that guarantee its people a decent life, and that what the Yemenis are suffering is a result of aggression, siege, unjust measures and occupation.
He pointed out that the Saudis did not benefit from the long years of war, despite launching hundreds of thousands of air raids, stressing that the renewed escalation will not achieve for them what they failed to achieve during the past years, because the Yemeni people rely on a firm faith position and an unbreakable will.
The leader stressed that the recent Saudi aggression against Sana’a International Airport represents a blatant attack on the rights of Yemenis, and that targeting the airport came without any justification, in an attempt to deprive the Yemeni people of their legitimate rights to travel and movement, and to impose further control over Yemeni airports and ports.
He explained that Yemen cannot accept that its airports, ports and sovereign rights become a file controlled by Saudi Arabia, questioning what legal or moral right authorizes it to interfere in Yemen’s affairs or confiscate the rights of its people, stressing that freedom and sovereignty are not subject to negotiation or compromise.
In this context, the leader stressed that the “siege for siege” equation has become a fixed option, stressing that “if the Saudi enemy moves towards a comprehensive escalation, then we will move towards a comprehensive escalation,” and that Yemen will not accept the continuation of any measures aimed at suffocating the people or controlling their lives and resources.
He stressed that the Yemeni people will not submit to attempts at enslavement or humiliation, and will not accept being subservient to anyone, saying that freedom runs in the blood of Yemenis, and that they did not accept submission to the great powers, so how can they accept guardianship or external control?
He added that the Saudis, by insisting on the blockade and aggression, are placing themselves in the position of the unjust aggressor, warning that the continuation of this approach will have repercussions and consequences for which they will bear full responsibility, and that Yemen will spare no effort in confronting any aggression with all the means and capabilities it possesses.
He also stressed that all vital and oil facilities in Saudi Arabia would be targeted if the Saudi regime continued its aggression against Yemen, calling on Riyadh to stop interfering in Yemeni affairs and to respect the right of the Yemeni people to manage their affairs away from any guardianship or dictates.
The leader praised the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran, considering its initiative to contribute to breaking the siege on Sana’a airport a commendable step that reflects a supportive stance towards the Yemeni people in the face of the imposed siege.
In his speech, the leader stressed that Yemen is committed to upholding its right to freedom and sovereignty and rejecting the blockade and guardianship, emphasizing that the next phase will reflect the will of the Yemeni people and their national choices, and that any continuation of the Saudi aggression or escalation will be met with deterrent measures, until the Yemeni people obtain their legitimate rights and end all forms of blockade and aggression imposed on them.
