The leader to Saudi Arabia: We cannot accept depriving our people of their rights… and your insistence on the blockade is a new entanglement.
The leader of the revolution, Mr. Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, addressed a strongly worded message to the Saudi regime, stressing that the continuation of the siege and the deprivation of the Yemeni people of their basic rights represents an injustice and aggression that cannot be accepted, warning that Riyadh’s insistence on this path is a new entanglement that will have consequences for it.
In his speech today, Thursday, regarding the latest developments, the leader explained that the Saudi regime is denying all the entitlements of the de-escalation phase, foremost among them the humanitarian entitlements, and continues to deprive the Yemeni people of their established rights to their national wealth, travel for treatment, movement, and the continued operation of ports and airports.
He stressed that no one has the right to deny the Yemeni people their rights or deprive them of their oil wealth or their right to food, medicine and travel, stressing that the Saudi regime’s characterization of patients traveling for treatment as a “dangerous act” reflects a state of tyranny, arrogance and criminality, and an attempt to control even the most basic rights of Yemenis.
He pointed out that Saudi Arabia, after the failure of the United States, Britain and the Israeli enemy in direct confrontation with Yemen, is being pushed again towards tightening the siege and getting involved in a new escalation, noting that Riyadh continued during the de-escalation phase to impose more restrictions on ports, airports and commercial imports, which doubled the suffering of citizens, raised commodity prices and led to the death of thousands of patients because they were prevented from traveling for treatment.
The leader explained that Saudi Arabia has no right to control Yemeni ports, airports, or oil wealth, and that depriving the people of about 90 million barrels of oil annually is a crime targeting the livelihood and rights of Yemenis, stressing that the goal of these policies is to subjugate Yemen and force it to surrender in service of the American, Israeli, and British project.
He added that the Saudi regime does not have a project that serves the nation, but rather works within the Zionist-American-British project in cooperation with the Israeli enemy in targeting Yemen, providing coordinates and intelligence information, and opening some airports for Zionist spy planes, as well as seeking to circumvent the Yemeni maritime blockade by facilitating the arrival of goods to the Israeli enemy.
The leader affirmed that the Yemeni people made great sacrifices in supporting the Palestinian people and engaged in direct confrontations with the United States and the Israeli enemy, emerging from them steadfast and victorious. He pointed out that the failure of the Americans, British, and Israelis in those confrontations prompted them to try to drag Saudi Arabia back into the path of escalation.
He stressed that depriving the Yemeni people of their established rights is unacceptable under any circumstances, and that the Saudi regime’s continued policy of siege and aggression will not achieve its goals, but will instead push it into further involvement and responsibility for the consequences.
