From Saada to Hodeidah… July 19th bears witness to the crimes of aggression
July 19th represents one of the bloodiest days in the record of the American-Saudi-Emirati aggression against Yemen, as this date witnessed a series of air raids, missile and artillery bombardments and targeting of residential neighborhoods, citizens’ homes, public facilities and farms, leaving dozens of martyrs and wounded and widespread damage to public and private property.
The events of this day reveal the extent of the escalation carried out by the aggression and its mercenaries through the direct targeting of civilians, residential areas and service facilities in a number of governorates, in a scene that reflects the continuation of crimes and violations against the Yemeni people throughout the years of aggression.
2015 AD.. Massacres and widespread bombing of governorates
On July 19, 2015, 13 citizens were killed and more than 20 others were injured as a result of air raids by the aggression aircraft that targeted a residential neighborhood in the city of Yarim in the governorate of Ibb. Eleven houses were completely destroyed and varying damage was inflicted on a number of other houses.
In Saada Governorate, 20 citizens were killed and ten others were injured in two raids that targeted citizens’ homes in the Al Muqna’ area of Munabbih district, which led to their destruction and damage to other homes. Two women were also killed and three others were injured as a result of the bombing of citizens’ homes in the Al Habal area.
The aggression aircraft launched 15 raids on the Al-Talh area in Sahar district, and a series of raids on Baqim district, Saada city and Saqeen district, while several border areas were subjected to missile and artillery shelling.
In Taiz Governorate, the aggression raids targeted the south of Jabal Jarrah, 60th Street, the areas of Sina, Kashar, Al-Mahras, Mashra’a and Hadnan districts, in addition to a citizen’s house that was completely destroyed.
The aggression aircraft also launched intensive raids on Aden Airport, Al-Tawahi, Khor Maksar and the Abyan coast in Aden Governorate, and targeted scattered areas in Abyan Governorate and Al-Matun and Al-Ghayl districts in Al-Jawf Governorate.
The enemy aircraft launched raids on various areas in the capital Sana’a and some areas of Sana’a Governorate, the Al-Tala’a Al-Hamra area and the Al-Sha’la site in Marib Governorate, and also targeted the oil pipeline in Safer.
In Hajjah Governorate, the air force targeted the agriculture office and the court building in Mustaba district and Haradh city, while artillery shelling targeted Haradh customs, Al-Madahsha and Midi, in addition to missile and artillery shelling of other border areas.
2016 AD.. Targeting of civilians and means of transportation
On July 19, 2016, two citizens were killed and four others were injured in an air raid by the aggression aircraft that targeted a citizen’s oil tanker in the Al-Salif intersection in Al-Hudaydah Governorate.
In Taiz Governorate, citizen Saeed Ismail Al-Junaid (65 years old) was wounded by a sniper from the mercenaries in Al-Hayar village in Sabr Al-Mawadim district. The mercenaries also shelled Al-Sarari village and its surroundings with artillery, and fired on citizens’ homes in Akmat Al-Tair and Ras Al-Sami’i. They shelled Al-Jahmaliyah area with tanks and opened fire with their machine guns on Al-Majma’ah area in Maqbanah district, while the aggression aircraft launched four raids on Al-Mukha district.
In Al-Jawf Governorate, two women were injured as a result of mercenaries shelling citizens’ homes in Al-Maslub District, while enemy aircraft launched two raids on Wadi Yubin in Al-Yatma area, three raids on Al-Aqaba area and neighboring areas in Khabb wa ash-Sha’af District, and two raids on As-Saqiyah area in Al-Maslub District.
In Saada Governorate, the Saudi border guards killed citizen Aziz Abdullah from the Burkan area in Razih district, and targeted the Awjaba and Al-Buqa areas in Al Sheikh in Munabbih district with machine guns, while the air force launched two raids on the Al-Malil area in Kataf district and a raid on Shada district.
The aggression aircraft also targeted Haradh district in Hajjah governorate with nine raids, and the Al-Huwaymi area in Al-Qubaytah district in Lahj governorate was subjected to artillery shelling by the aggression’s mercenaries.
2017-2018 AD.. Cluster bombs and airstrikes
On July 19, 2017, a child was injured by the explosion of a cluster bomb left over from the aggression in the Akwan area of Al-Safra district in Saada Governorate.
The aggression aircraft launched two raids on Al-Safra district and two raids on Kataf district, which caused damage to citizens’ property.
