The head of Iran’s judiciary told regional leaders: Relying on Washington leads to defeat.

The head of the Iranian judiciary, Sheikh Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, confirmed that the exceptional circumstances imposed by wars may necessitate not adhering to some controls due to necessity, but he stressed the need for these exceptions not to become a permanent approach in normal circumstances.

During a meeting with several officials on Monday, Ayatollah Mohseni Ejei called for the utmost sensitivity and responsibility in handling complaints against judicial personnel, warning that the loss of public trust in any official or employee within the judiciary would have serious negative repercussions. He emphasized that any official or employee found guilty of misconduct or corruption, including accepting bribes, would not be tolerated or overlooked.

Sheikh Mohseni Ejei stressed the importance of strengthening oversight and monitoring within government institutions, emphasizing that the responsibility of supervising subordinates rests on every official, thus preventing any opportunity for deviation or corruption.

On the regional issue, Sheikh Mohseni Ejei warned some leaders of the region’s countries against relying on the United States, considering that trusting Washington and betting on its promises will only lead to loss and defeat.

He added that any country that allows its territory to be used to carry out American attacks will bear the consequences, stressing that whoever allows their country’s territory to be exploited to commit war crimes will not have a favorable end to their policies.
