Despite the ceasefire entering into force on October 10, violations persist daily, with continued targeting of civilians, including children and displaced persons in the Bureij, Nuseirat, and Maghazi camps.
The latest violation resulted in the killing of a Palestinian child by occupation fire in Rafah and the injury of five other civilians in central Gaza—part of an ongoing criminal policy aimed at terrorizing civilians and subjecting them to starvation and deprivation.
Threats to International Relief Organizations and Attempts to Obscure the Truth
Dr. Munir Al-Barsh, Director-General of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, condemned the occupation’s threats to halt the operations of more than 30 international medical institutions, stressing that the objective is to suppress the truth and silence the world regarding Zionist crimes.
UNRWA also denounced restrictions imposed on humanitarian organizations, warning that relief operations remain at serious risk. It noted that approximately 1.6 million Palestinians are facing severe malnutrition amid bans on the entry of vital aid, including food, medicine, and spare parts for water and sewage facilities.
An Escalating Humanitarian Catastrophe Driven by Siege and Harsh Weather
The Khan Younis Municipality warned of a complete shutdown of essential services due to fuel shortages, threatening water and health facilities and placing nearly 900,000 displaced people at extreme risk. Recent severe weather conditions uprooted thousands of tents and flooded residential areas with rainwater and sewage. UNICEF teams reported child fatalities resulting from these harsh conditions, most recently the death of Atta May (7), who drowned in severe flooding at the Al-Sudaniyya camp in northwest Gaza.
UNICEF emphasized the urgent need for immediate intervention to allow in essential relief supplies, temporary water lines, hygiene kits, blankets, and waterproof tarpaulins to ensure minimum protection for Palestinian children and families.

Electricity, water, and sewage networks, roads, and governmental, cultural, and sports facilities were devastated.
