Gaza Under Fire: An Ongoing Catastrophe Despite the Agreement
Despite the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on 11 October 2025, Gaza continues to endure one of the gravest humanitarian catastrophes in its history.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the death toll has surpassed 71,384 martyrs, with 171,251 injured. Meanwhile, nearly one million people in the Strip—approximately half of the population—are living without shelter, residing in temporary tents that are repeatedly damaged by rain, strong winds, and sea waves.

Over the past 48 hours, the Ministry of Health reported the killing of three people, including two children, and 18 injuries, in addition to the recovery of one martyr’s body from under the debris. The report indicates that a large number of victims remain trapped beneath the rubble and in roadways, as ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them.
Continued Violations and Displacement
Despite the ceasefire agreement, Israeli enemy forces continue to target civilians through artillery and aerial bombardment and the demolition of homes across multiple areas of the Strip. These violations confirm that the truce has not ended the suffering, and that civilians remain vulnerable to killing and forced displacement.
The West Bank: An Open War
Zaher Jabareen, head of Hamas in the West Bank, affirmed that what is taking place there constitutes an “open war” targeting both people and land. He stressed that raids, arrests, displacement policies, and Judaization are all part of a systematic plan.
He added that the West Bank, alongside Gaza, remains steadfast and a source of resistance despite the occupation’s attempts to break the will of the Palestinian people.
Humanitarian Crisis
Gaza’s residents are living under extremely harsh conditions, with severe shortages of water, sanitation services, and fuel required to operate essential facilities. Despite international humanitarian efforts—including the removal of approximately 1,000 tons of waste per month by UNICEF teams—needs remain immense and insufficiently met, exacerbating civilian suffering, particularly among children, women, and the elderly.
