UN official demands arrest & trial of “criminal Netanyahu” legally in Hague
Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, expressed on Sunday her hope to see Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrested and legally tried in The Hague.
She emphasized that justice must remain the guiding principle in dealing with detained leaders.
In a post on the “X” platform, monitored by the, Albanese stated that attacking a sovereign state and kidnapping its leader constitutes a fatal blow to international law, no matter how deserving he is of being held accountable before justice. This was in reference to the American attack on Venezuela and the kidnapping of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife.
