New Saudi Aggression on Saada: Three Civilians Injured in Direct Targeting of Civilians

The Saudi enemy continues its criminal attacks against residents of the border areas in Saada Governorate, in a blatant violation of Yemeni sovereignty and all international and humanitarian laws. A new act of aggression carried out today, Wednesday, resulted in the injury of three civilians with varying degrees of wounds, underscoring the ongoing policy of deliberate targeting of unarmed civilians.

Media sources in the governorate reported that one civilian was injured by Saudi fire in the border district of Shada, while two others were wounded by shrapnel from shelling opposite the Al-Sheikh area in the border district of Munabbih. These attacks are part of a series of repeated assaults on populated villages along the border strip.

This latest incident comes only days after another civilian was injured last Monday as a result of direct gunfire by Saudi forces opposite the Al-Raqo area in Munabbih District, within a continuous pattern of crimes targeting civilians and their property, revealing the systematic criminal nature of the aggression.

Border districts in Saada have repeatedly witnessed escalation through sniper fire and direct shelling, reflecting the Saudi enemy’s determination to turn peaceful villages into open target zones, in a desperate attempt to compensate for its military failures by retaliating against innocent civilians and terrorizing the population.

These crimes constitute a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, which strictly prohibits the targeting of civilians and civilian objects. Nevertheless, the Saudi enemy continues its violations amid absolute international silence, exposing the extent of complicity and the inability to deter these ongoing criminal practices.

Residents of the border areas affirm that this aggression will not succeed in breaking their will to remain steadfast, and that the policy of systematic terror pursued by the enemy will not alter the equation of resilience in confronting the aggression, regardless of the level of escalation.
