Martyr Zaid Ali Masleh Foundation Launches the “Martyr of the Qur’an” Festival

On Monday, the Martyr Zaid Ali Masleh Foundation launched the activities of the Martyr of the Qur’an Festival, coinciding with the annual anniversary of the Martyr Leader for the year 1447 AH.

The three-day festival features a series of events, activities, and seminars highlighting the Qur’anic project of the Martyr Leader—one that seeks to awaken the Islamic nation, confront tyrants and arrogant powers, and support the oppressed through the Holy Qur’an.

During the opening ceremony, attended by Speaker of Parliament Yahya Ali Al-Ra’i and Chairman of the Shura Council Mohammed Hussein Al-Eidroos, Director of the Office of the Presidency Ahmed Hamed stated that the founder and pioneer of the Qur’anic project, Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi, emerged at a critical stage in the history of the Ummah, characterized by enlightenment and corrective vision aimed at rescuing the nation and lifting it from humiliation and subjugation.

Hamed pointed out that the events of September 11 and the bombing of the World Trade Center towers were orchestrated by the Zionist lobby to target the Islamic nation, occupy countries, plunder their resources, and impose American cultural dominance under the pretext of combating terrorism, as declared by the criminal U.S. President George W. Bush.

He noted that the so-called crusade war began with the occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq, during which sanctities were violated and millions of people from the Islamic nation were killed. He added that this period was marked by Arab and Islamic silence and humiliation, while the Martyr of the Qur’an, Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi, was the man of that moment—shattering the wall of silence, dispelling the darkness of fear, and presenting solutions to the Ummah at a time when solutions were absent.

Hamed explained that Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi raised the cry of freedom and the slogan of disavowal in the face of arrogant powers, offering solutions and a practical project derived from the Holy Qur’an—through which he launched his movement, struggled, acted, and laid the foundations for a Qur’an-centered nation based on true knowledge of God.

He said, “The Martyr of the Qur’an built a great and powerful Qur’anic nation that, by God’s grace and support, overthrew tyrants and humbled arrogant forces, overcame all obstacles and hardships, and proved that the Qur’anic project is the true way out of the suffering of our Ummah and the only path to restoring its dignity, honor, status, and unity.”

The Director of the Presidency’s Office described the Qur’anic project as an inclusive initiative, unbound by sectarian, denominational, geographical, or political constraints—one that corrects the reality of the Ummah, raises awareness of responsibility, and exposes the enemy’s schemes, conspiracies, deception, and misinformation.

The festival—attended by Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council Dhaif Allah Rassam, a number of members of Parliament and the Shura Council, Deputy Minister of Information Dr. Omar Al-Bukhaiti, and Head of the Endowments and Guidance Authority Allamah Abdulmajid Al-Houthi—featured poetry recitals by Mu’adh Al-Junaid and Zaid Al-Na’ami, choral performances and an operetta by the Ansar Allah and Al-Resalah groups, as well as visual presentations titled “Glimmers of Light from the Martyr Leader and the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi.”
