Political Analyst: Israel Trying to Create “New Somalia” in Gaza

Writer and political analyst Bakr Abdulhaq warned of a Zionist plan aimed at transforming the Gaza Strip into a new reality resembling “a new Somalia,” far removed from international efforts to end the humanitarian crisis and open a political horizon for the Palestinians.

In an interview with Cairo News Channel on Thursday, Abdulhaq said, “What is happening on the ground could become a permanent reality by effectively dividing Gaza into two areas: the Green Zone, which is dominated by the Israeli enemy army, and where residents are encouraged to move by providing some basic services.”
