PIC”: 7,715 administrative detention orders issued against Palestinians in 2025

The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) documented 7,715 administrative detention orders issued by the Israeli occupation authorities against Palestinian prisoners during 2025.

In a statistical report issued Saturday, the center stated that the Israeli occupation authorities issued more than 17,000 administrative detention orders without charges.

The report explained that the number of administrative detainees held in Israeli prisons reached more than 3,400, representing 35 percent of the total number of prisoners, which is 9,500.

This is compared to 1,300 administrative detainees before the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip. The Israeli occupation authorities also classified 1,200 detainees from Gaza as “unlawful combatants.”

The center pointed out that 16 Palestinian female prisoners are being held in enemy prisons under the pretext of administrative detention, in addition to 80 minor children in administrative detention (the youngest of whom is 14 years old), noting that 11 administrative prisoners were martyred as a result of medical negligence.
