Military Media Reveals Details of the Targeting of the British Vessel “Marlin Luanda”

Military media on Monday released, for the first time, footage showing the launch of missiles targeting the British vessel Marlin Luanda in the Gulf of Aden.

An officer in the Joint Operations Room explained that the decision to deliberately target the Luanda in the Gulf of Aden—despite its prior passage through the Red Sea—was intended to deliver clear messages to the enemy that all restricted zones are within reach.

He further revealed that the British vessel Marlin Luanda was struck using a “Red Sea” missile, confirming that the Red Sea missile is domestically manufactured and developed from the Sa‘ir missile. It is a medium-range missile operating with dual guidance systems: thermal and radar.

The military media footage also documented moments of tracking the vessel, as well as the exact point at which the naval forces and missile force made the decision to target the British ship.
