Protest in Ankara Condemning Israeli Enemy’s Violations of Ceasefire in Gaza

The Turkish capital, Ankara, witnessed a demonstration on Saturday denouncing the Israeli enemy’s violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, organized by the “Ankara Platform for Solidarity with Palestine.”

Protesters gathered in front of the US Embassy in the Turkish capital, chanting anti-Israeli entity slogans, according to Anadolu Agency.

The platform’s spokesperson, Aziz Oğuzhan Karaman, stated in a press release that Gaza, which has been under Israeli siege for 20 years, has been subjected to continuous attacks since October 2023.

Karaman pointed out that the Israeli enemy continues its attacks despite the ceasefire agreement.

He said: “The Israeli occupation has violated the agreement 1,520 times. Israeli attacks that breached the agreement resulted in the martyrdom of 576 Palestinians and the injury of 1,543 people. During the ceasefire period, Israel destroyed 221 homes.”

He emphasized that the ceasefire in Gaza should not lead to forgetting the genocide committed by the Israeli enemy, calling on people of conscience around the world to continue raising their voices against the Zionist entity.

With American and European support, the Israeli enemy army has committed, for over two consecutive years since October 7, 2023, genocidal crimes, siege, and starvation in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the martyrdom of 72,027 Palestinian civilians, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 171,651 others, until today, in a non-final toll. Thousands of victims remain under the rubble and on the roads, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.

A ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip entered into force on October 10 last year, after a two-year continuous Zionist genocidal war; however, the Israeli enemy army commits daily violations of the agreement and continues to prevent the majority of humanitarian aid from entering the Strip.
