Amnesty International: European ministers’ attack on Francesca Albanese is deliberate distortion of her speech on Palestine

Amnesty International stated that it is disgraceful for ministers from Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, France, and Austria to attack the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese.

The organization explained in a post on the platform “X” on Tuesday, as reported that the attack was based on a video clip that was “deliberately edited” to distort the content of her message and misrepresent it in a serious way.

Amnesty International emphasized that the allegations against Albanese were based on a clipped segment that does not reflect the full content of her speech, noting that viewing the full original recording shows the true context and meaning of her statements, contrary to what has been circulated.
