The Fifth Ramadan Lecture by the Leader: Quranic Stories… A Methodology for the Nation’s Resilience in the Face of Tyranny
As part of the Ramadan lectures delivered by the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, during the holy month of Ramadan, the Leader drew attention in his fifth Ramadan lecture to the importance of Quranic stories as a comprehensive divine guidance methodology that contributes to building the nation’s faith-based awareness and grants it the insight to understand its reality and deal correctly with the challenges it faces.
He emphasized that the Holy Quran does not present stories as mere historical events for mere recollection, but rather presents them within the context of divine guidance to strengthen trust in God Almighty and cultivate awareness of the divine laws that govern the course of life and the struggle between truth and falsehood.
Conscious Faith is the Foundation of Steadfastness and Resilience
The Leader pointed out that the fruit of true faith is steadfastness and resilience, even in the most difficult circumstances. He noted that the Islamic nation is experiencing a period of targeting and vulnerability amidst the actions of tyrannical and arrogant powers that pursue blatantly aggressive policies, despite their misleading slogans and rhetoric.
He added that awareness of the true nature of these challenges is essential to protect the nation from deception and strengthen its ability to confront the dangers targeting its identity and stability.
Targeting Holy Sites Reveals the Nature of the Project
The Leader explained the ongoing restrictions and escalating measures targeting Islamic holy sites, particularly Al-Aqsa Mosque, aimed at imposing a new reality and limiting access for worshippers. This is part of an aggressive campaign targeting the Islamic identity of the nation.
He indicated that the continued crimes, sieges, starvation, and attacks in the region reflect the nature of the hostile project and underscore the necessity of not being deceived by political slogans that conceal clear aggressive objectives.
The Story of Moses: A Quranic Model for Salvation from Tyranny
The Supreme Leader presented the story of the Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) as a comprehensive model offering practical lessons on how the oppressed can be liberated from tyranny. He explained that divine victory is achieved through a practical process based on faith, action, and taking responsibility.
He emphasized that the salvation of the oppressed during Pharaoh’s time was not a result of wishful thinking or waiting, but rather came about through a divine plan in which the believers acted according to God’s guidance and instructions, within the framework of established divine laws based on awareness and practical action.
Divine Providence and Trust in God’s Promise
The Supreme Leader drew attention to the fact that divine providence in the story of Moses (peace be upon him) began from his birth, through the revelation bestowed upon his mother. This revelation contained guidance and glad tidings that strengthened trust in God’s promise and affirmed God’s power to transform dangers into opportunities for salvation and deliverance.
He explained that these lessons reinforce the nation’s conviction that God does not abandon the oppressed without providing them with the means of salvation, and that seeking refuge in God and returning to His guidance represents the true path to deliverance from weakness and vulnerability.
Quranic Awareness: The Path to Confrontation and Revival
The Leader clarified that the ongoing conflict within the nation is a struggle between a project based on injustice and tyranny, and a divine project based on establishing justice and equity. This necessitates a conscious return to the Holy Quran as the source of insight and the methodology for revival.
He concluded his lecture by emphasizing the importance of sincere repentance to God Almighty, trusting in His true promise, and relying on Him in facing challenges. This, he asserted, is the foundation that enables the nation to overcome its periods of weakness and achieve victory, God willing.
