UNRWA: New UN report warns of “Ethnic cleansing” in Gaza, WB
UNRWA highlighted a “deeply alarming” new report from the UN Human Rights Office on Monday, describing Israeli actions in Gaza and the West Bank as reaching the level of ethnic cleansing.
The report, which covers the period from November 2024 to October 2025, details the systematic destruction of entire neighborhoods and the forced displacement of Palestinian communities.
UNRWA’s social media statement emphasized that these findings expose a grim reality of continuous killing, maiming, and a blockade that has pushed Gaza into a state of famine.
UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini expressed grave concern over the findings, which also document widespread torture and escalating violence in the West Bank. Lazzarini stressed that “accountability is indispensable” for a lasting peace, calling for an end to the normalization of international law violations and the prevailing climate of impunity for Israeli authorities
