Cuba: We condemn the Israeli aggression against Ain al-Hilweh and the violation of Lebanese sovereignty.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on Sunday condemned the cowardly attack by Israel on the Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp for Palestinians displaced in 1948, describing it as a flagrant violation of Lebanese sovereignty.

In a post on the X platform, Rodriguez pointed out that this heinous crime is part of a war of extermination, displacement and ethnic cleansing targeting the Palestinian people and their inalienable rights and national identity wherever they are.

He stressed that a just and lasting peace in the Middle East can only be achieved through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, and the right of return for refugees.
