A tragic traffic accident in Abyan claims 15 lives

On Tuesday, a horrific traffic accident occurred on the Mahfad road in Abyan Governorate, resulting in the death and injury of more than 15 people, including women and a child, amidst tragic scenes and significant material losses.

The accident has brought to the forefront the deteriorating state of roads in the southern governorates under Saudi-led coalition control. These roads have become dangerous routes that claim lives almost daily due to crumbling infrastructure, lack of maintenance, excessive speed, and reckless overtaking, leaving civilians constantly at risk.

Local sources indicated that chronic neglect and corruption in the management of financial revenues have exacerbated the road crisis. They warned that the continuation of this situation will lead to further humanitarian disasters, given the absence of oversight and concern for the lives of citizens.
