Ayatollah Khamenei Praises Courageous Yemen and Announces a Major Deterrent Equation: Hormuz Closed and New Fronts Opened Against Zionist-American Aggression

In his first official statement following his election as Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei issued a series of decisive pronouncements that reshaped the dynamics of conflict in the region. He emphasized that the confrontation with the axis of arrogance will not cease until full retribution is achieved for the blood of the martyrs, and that closing the Strait of Hormuz will remain an effective strategic option. He also affirmed Tehran’s readiness to open new fronts should the Zionist-American aggression persist.

In a message characterized by its firm tone, Ayatollah Khamenei commended the stances of the resistance front, particularly the courageous Yemen that stood by Gaza. He simultaneously called upon the countries of the region to close the American bases, which have become tools for imposing hegemony and destabilizing the region.

A Heavy Responsibility in the Footsteps of Imam Khomeini and Martyr Khamenei

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution began his statement by noting the magnitude of the historical responsibility he bears following his election, emphasizing that assuming the position from which Imam Khomeini and Martyr Sayyid Ali Khamenei led the Islamic Revolution is a weighty and arduous task.

He explained that this leadership has been held by men who have forged a history of struggle and sacrifice, pointing out that Imam Khomeini was an exceptional figure who, through decades of struggle, became a shining symbol in the history of the nation, while the life and passing of Martyr Sayyid Ali Khamenei were imbued with the dignity and prestige stemming from adherence to truth.

Khamenei indicated that the recent days Iran has experienced since the loss of its former leader clearly demonstrated the awareness, insight, and resilience of the Iranian people, affirming that the people’s presence in the public sphere constitutes the fundamental pillar of the strength of the system and the revolution.

Popular Participation: A Source of Strength and a Way to Defeat the Enemy

In this context, the Leader of the Revolution emphasized that the power of the people cannot be transformed into effective force unless it is manifested in the field, calling on the Iranian people to actively participate in public squares and arenas, especially in the International Quds Day march.

He stressed that broad popular participation is a decisive factor in defeating the enemies, explaining that leadership, military, and political institutions cannot fully perform their roles without this conscious and continuous popular support.

He also called for maintaining national unity among the various segments of the population and overlooking minor differences in order to strengthen internal cohesion in the face of challenges.

Revenge for the Martyrs: An Open File Until Justice is Achieved
In a stance reflecting the Islamic Republic’s determination to continue the confrontation, Mr. Khamenei affirmed that revenge for the blood of the martyrs will not be abandoned or overlooked, emphasizing that every martyr who falls as a result of aggression constitutes a separate case in the file of revenge.

He explained that a limited part of this retaliation has already been achieved, but this file will remain open until it is fully realized, with special attention given to the blood of the children martyred in Zionist crimes, foremost among them the crime that targeted the “Taiba Tree” school in the city of Minab.

He added that Iran will demand that the aggressors pay reparations for the crimes committed against the Iranian people, emphasizing that if the enemy refuses, the compensation will be taken from their assets or destroyed to an equivalent value.

Closing the Strait of Hormuz: A Continuing Strategic Option
Regarding the military and economic equation in the region, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution stressed that the continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz is a necessary option in confronting aggression, affirming that this option will remain on the table within the framework of strategic deterrence.

He also revealed that studies are underway to open new fronts where the enemy lacks sufficient experience and is highly vulnerable, explaining that activating these fronts will be done according to the dictates of the interest if the war situation continues.

He emphasized that the Iranian armed forces, during the recent aggression, were able to inflict powerful blows on the enemy, thwarting its attempts to control Iran or fragment its territory.

A Message to the Region: Close the American Bases

In a direct message to the governments of the region, Mr. Khamenei called on Iran’s neighboring countries to take a clear stance against American and Zionist aggression, demanding the closure of the American military bases located in some of these countries.

He explained that these bases have, for years, become tools for imposing American hegemony on the region, noting that some of these facilities were used during the recent attack on Iran.

He added that Tehran targeted only these bases without targeting the countries in which they are located, but it will continue this approach if they continue to be used in aggression, despite the Islamic Republic’s keenness to maintain friendly relations with all its neighbors.

He pointed out that closing these bases will strengthen those governments’ relations with their people, who are expressing widespread discontent with aligning themselves with the arrogant powers.

Special Praise for the Resistance Front… Yemen at its Forefront

In his remarks on the axis of resistance, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution extended special thanks to the mujahideen of the resistance front in the region, emphasizing that the countries of this axis are the Islamic Republic’s best friends.

Khamenei praised Yemen’s courageous stance, affirming that faithful Yemen has not abandoned the defense of the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza, despite the immense challenges it faces.

He also commended the role of Hezbollah in Lebanon, which, despite the obstacles, has been quick to support the Islamic Republic, and the Iraqi resistance, which has followed the same path with courage and steadfastness.

He stressed that the unity of the components of the resistance front and the integration of their efforts represent the shortest path to eliminating Zionist sedition in the region.

Iran Does Not Seek Hegemony… But a Just Regional Partnership

In concluding his message, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei emphasized that the Islamic Republic does not seek hegemony or colonialism in the region, but rather believes in establishing relations based on cooperation.
