‘Israel’ killed 107 children in 13 days amid aggression on Lebanon

At least 107 children have been killed in Lebanon over the past 13 days amid ongoing Israeli aggression, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health. The Ministry’s Health Emergency Operations Center reported that between March 2 and March 15, the total death toll from the latest round of Israeli aggression reached 850, with 2,105 people wounded.

This comes as the Israeli aggression across Lebanon continues to intensify.

Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported that the Israeli warplanes carried out multiple strikes across southern Lebanon, targeting towns including Toul, Kfoir, Taybeh, Wadi al-Hujayr, Khiam, hit twice, Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa and its outskirts, Kfar Tebnit, and high grounds in Qlayaa and Yohmor in western Beqaa, as well as al-Sharqiyah.

In addition, our correspondent added that artillery shelling and small arms fire were heard in the border town of Khiam.

Preliminary figures from the Health Emergency Operations Center indicate at least two wounded in Nabatiyeh, two in Yater, three in Majdal Zoun, and one in Mayfadoun. The National News Agency of Lebanon confirmed one fatality in an airstrike on Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa, along with eight other injuries in southern Lebanon.

The escalating aggression has compounded Lebanon’s humanitarian crisis, with civilians, especially children, bearing the brunt of the aggression amid continuing regional tensions.

United Nations experts condemn US-Israeli attacks on Lebanon, Iran
UN human rights experts on Thursday denounced the recent wars on Iran and Lebanon by the United States and “Israel”, calling them clear violations of international law.

The United Nations experts warned that the attacks risk dragging the broader region into a large-scale armed conflict and could set a dangerous precedent for unchecked military actions by powerful nations.

“The conflict risks engulfing the wider region in catastrophic armed violence and threatens to set yet another precedent of total impunity for some of the world’s strongest military powers,” the experts said.

They criticized the US and “Israel” for carrying out unprovoked aggression against Iran, highlighting demands from Washington for Iran’s unconditional surrender and statements pushing for regime change.

“US and Israel should stop waging and expanding wars, and consider themselves above international legality,” the experts said.

They emphasized that no human rights concerns justify interference in the sovereignty of a UN member state.

Alarm was raised over the human toll of the strikes, including the killing of at least 180 girls in a targeted school, damage to oil refineries causing environmental harm, and attacks on critical infrastructure such as a desalination plant. The experts called for independent investigations into these incidents, citing potential violations of international humanitarian law.

In addition, “Israel’s” aggression on Lebanon drew sharp criticism. Orders for civilians in South Lebanon and southern Beirut to evacuate were described as illegal.

The statement underscored that only the people of Iran should determine their own political future, free from foreign interference, and that any loss of life in an unlawful war constitutes a violation of the right to life.

“Only the Iranian people can decide their own future, in full sovereignty, and in line with the principles of the rule of law and respect for human rights,” the experts said, adding that decades of US interference in Iran and the rest of the Middle East through coups, military interventions, and unilateral sanctions, had caused chaos in the region and must end.

In conclusion, the UN experts called out the UN Security Council for its failure to fulfill its responsibilities and urged an immediate ceasefire.
