Worth 15.1 billion riyals… a strategic success for the wheat production season in Al-Jawf
The head of the agriculture sector in Al-Jawf Governorate, Mahdi Al-Dhamin, revealed that a strategic success was achieved for the 1447 AH agricultural season in producing the wheat crop in the governorate.
Al-Dhamin explained that the field statistical data collected so far confirms that production quantities have exceeded one million bags of wheat, considering this achievement a qualitative leap that contributes to breaking the chains of dependence on foreign countries and achieving food security for the country.
He also revealed the financial and production indicators achieved in the current agricultural season, with a total production of 1,021,901 bags of wheat worth 15.1 billion Yemeni riyals, indicating that about 10,000 workers were employed, which benefited tens of thousands of rural families.
Al-Dhamin pointed out that the statistical figures are what was collected and its data sorted, as the data for two entire directorates was not completed, in addition to very large quantities of wheat whose detailed data did not reach, which confirms that the actual total production of the governorate exceeds those figures, and that Al-Jawf Governorate has become the grain storehouse of Yemen.
He praised the high level of awareness among farmers in the governorate, which was reflected in achieving a high rate of recovery of agricultural loans, to ensure the sustainability of support and to keep the production cycle going for the coming seasons.
The head of the agriculture sector in Al-Jawf expressed appreciation for the efforts of the farmers and the soldiers of the agricultural front, who achieved this accomplishment with their sweat and steadfastness in the field, praising their pivotal role in strengthening national food security.
