From the storming of Al-Aqsa to the siege of Gaza: An aggressive project targeting the Palestinian presence

The Israeli enemy continues to escalate its aggression against the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza Strip through a series of raids, arrests, and ongoing attacks, coinciding with the continuation of the war of extermination and the siege on the Gaza Strip.

In the past few hours, cities and towns in the occupied West Bank have witnessed a widespread campaign of raids and arrests targeting a number of citizens, as part of the policy of collective punishment pursued by the enemy authorities against the Palestinian people.

Ongoing Arrests and Raids

In Ramallah Governorate, Israeli forces arrested several Palestinians, including the mayor of Ni’lin, Imad al-Khawaja, after raiding his home. They also conducted raids and incursions in a number of villages and towns. These raids extended to Jenin, Nablus, Tulkarm, Jerusalem, Hebron, and Bethlehem, where Israeli forces continued their campaigns of raids and harassment against Palestinians. This coincided with attacks by settlers against Palestinians and their property, most notably an attack on a house in the town of Sebastia and the vandalism of a Palestinian-owned vehicle.

Targeting Women and Escalating Violations

Indicating a widening scope of targeting, the Palestinian Prisoners Club revealed an unprecedented escalation in the arrests of Palestinian women, stating that the number of female prisoners in Israeli jails has risen to approximately 95.

The club affirmed that female prisoners are subjected to escalating violations, including beatings, torture, humiliation, and neglect, under harsh detention conditions that reflect the extent of the repressive policies pursued by the enemy against Palestinian prisoners. These practices come at a time when the enemy continues to detain approximately 9,500 Palestinian prisoners in its prisons, including women and children, amidst ongoing human rights demands to halt the continuous violations against them.

Al-Aqsa Mosque Under Attack
In occupied Jerusalem, settlers continued their provocative incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under the protection of enemy forces. Dozens of settlers toured its courtyards and performed Talmudic rituals under tight security measures.

These incursions reflect the enemy entity’s continued attempts to impose a new reality at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, within the framework of its Judaization policies and systematic targeting of Islamic holy sites, which is causing concern and anger among Palestinians.

Settlement Activity: Another Face of Aggression
In parallel with the security escalation, settlement policies and the confiscation of Palestinian lands continue in the occupied West Bank.

In this context, Hamas warned of the dangers of the new Israeli occupation orders to seize vast areas of land in the Tubas and Jenin governorates, asserting that these measures are part of annexation, displacement, and the imposition of facts on the ground. The movement indicated that settlement expansion represents an extension of the ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people and their national rights, emphasizing that Palestinians will continue to cling to their land and confront the enemy’s schemes, no matter the sacrifices.

Gaza Bleeds
In the Gaza Strip, the repercussions of the Israeli aggression and the ongoing siege continue. Two citizens were killed and others wounded in a bombing that targeted a group of civilians in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip. These crimes confirm the continued targeting of civilians in various parts of the Strip, amidst extremely difficult humanitarian conditions and a widespread collapse of infrastructure and basic services.

In its latest statistics, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the aggression has risen to 72,980 martyrs and 173,171 wounded since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023, in one of the bloodiest wars in Palestinian history.

Steadfastness in the face of aggression
Despite the scale of the ongoing crimes and violations, the Palestinian people continue to hold fast to their national rights and their steadfastness in the face of the enemy entity and its settlement projects. The Palestinian scene today confirms that the policies of repression, arrest, displacement and settlement have not succeeded in breaking the will of the Palestinian people, but rather have contributed to strengthening the state of steadfastness and clinging to the land and rights.
