July 2nd… a day on which life in all its details was targeted, and a damning record documenting the crimes of the American-Saudi-Emirati aggression against Yemen and the Yemenis.

The crimes committed on July 2nd during the years of the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression were not merely isolated military raids, but rather a clear example of a systematic targeting of the Yemeni people and their livelihoods across various governorates. On this day, scenes of residential neighborhoods being bombed, schools, health centers, and service and economic facilities being targeted, along with markets, farms, roads, and educational institutions, are repeated. This reflects the widening scope of violations directly affecting civilians, leaving hundreds of victims and widespread destruction of public and private property.

The timeline of these crimes reveals that the aggression was not limited to intensive air operations, but extended to missile and artillery shelling of border areas, and to the continued violations by mercenaries during the following years, which confirms that targeting civilians remained a consistent policy that accompanied the various stages of the aggression.

2015… Entire families buried under rubble and residential neighborhoods reduced to ruins
On July 2, 2015, the aggression aircraft committed a series of bloody crimes in a number of governorates, as two citizens were martyred and fifteen others were injured as a result of targeting citizens’ homes in the Al-Talh area of Sahar district and the Officers’ Quarter in Saada city, which led to the collapse of a large number of homes and severe damage to others, in conjunction with raids targeting the Al-Qalaa area in Razih district, and Saudi missile and artillery shelling on the Al-Ghour area in the border district of Ghamr.

In the capital, the raids directly targeted residential neighborhoods, where a citizen and his two daughters were killed and three members of his family were injured as a result of the bombing of the Al-Nahda and Al-Madina Al-Libya neighborhoods, while an entire family of five was wiped out and seven others were injured as a result of targeting citizens’ homes in the Al-Omrani neighborhood, with the raids continuing on residential neighborhoods and civilian facilities.

The attacks extended to other governorates, as the air force targeted cities and civilian facilities in Amran and Hajjah. It also destroyed large parts of the ancient historical city of Baraqish in Marib Governorate, severely damaging its temple and walls, in addition to destroying one of the vital bridges on the road linking Sana’a, Marib and Al-Jawf, in a direct targeting of the infrastructure.

2016 and 2017: Targeting education, health, and service facilities
In 2016, the aggression aircraft targeted a health center in Al-Rahida district in Taiz governorate, which led to the martyrdom of one citizen and the injury of another, in a crime that showed the expansion of the circle of targeting to include health facilities, in conjunction with raids on Al-Jawf, Marib and Sana’a, and the continuation of artillery shelling that targeted populated areas.

In 2017, the air force continued its raids on the districts of Haradh, Midi, Sirwah, Nihm and Al-Matun. It also targeted water desalination tanks on Kamaran Island in Al-Hudaydah Governorate, a service facility on which the population depends. Meanwhile, the border districts of Saada were subjected to Saudi air, missile and artillery bombardment that affected homes, farms and the Al-Raqw market in Munabbih district, leaving widespread damage to civilian property.
