Araghchi Decides Tehran’s Position: No Negotiations Under Threat

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi affirmed that Iran will not begin negotiations on the final agreement if the threats against it continue.

Speaking on the “X” platform, Araghchi explained that “Article 13 of the Memorandum of Understanding is perfectly clear, and negotiations on the final agreement will not begin as long as the threats against Iran persist.” He emphasized, “Neither our people nor our brave armed forces are intimidated by threats.”

The Iranian Foreign Minister pointed to the public demonstrations in the country, saying, “Millions of dear Iranians gathered in unity and solidarity to honor the martyred leader and his immortal legacy.”

In the same vein, the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Mohammad Baqer Zolghadr, responded to Trump’s threats, describing him as “a delusional American president who today threatened 91 million Iranians.”

He also stressed that Iranians do not understand the language of threats, warning Trump that he must address the Iranian people with respect, or he will be met with a different response.

These decisive Iranian positions come after statements made by US President Donald Trump, in which he declared that he prefers to conclude an agreement with Iran because he “does not want to harm 91 million people,” while claiming at the same time that he “is not seeking regime change in Iran, even though what is happening is already a regime change.”
