One Palestinian killed, four injured in Israeli strike in central Gaza

One Palestinian was killed and four others were injured on Saturday in an Israeli airstrike targeting a civilian vehicle in the central Gaza Strip, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

According to WAFA, an Israeli drone fired four missiles at the vehicle on the Wadi Gaza bridge, killing one person and wounding four others.

The body of the deceased was transported by Palestine Red Crescent Society ambulance crews to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, while the injured were taken to Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp for treatment.

Earlier on Saturday, medical sources in Gaza said the death toll from the Israeli offensive on the enclave had risen to 73,221, with 173,643 people injured since October 7, 2023. They added that since the ceasefire started on October 11 last year, 1,098 people have been killed, 3,535 injured, and 800 bodies recovered.
