We will break the siege… A widespread Twitter campaign will launch this evening to highlight the resilience of Yemenis and their rejection of the continued siege.

In the context of the media and popular movement rejecting the continued siege imposed on Yemen, and in light of the Saudi regime continuing to play the role of a tool in implementing it, a wide-ranging Twitter campaign will be launched at nine o’clock this Saturday evening on the “X” platform under the hashtag #WeWillBreakTheSiege, with the aim of highlighting the humanitarian and economic repercussions of the siege, revealing its catastrophic effects on the lives of Yemenis, and emphasizing the Yemeni people’s adherence to their legitimate right to break the siege and lift the restrictions imposed on Yemen.

The campaign aims to expose the catastrophic effects of the blockade on various aspects of life, and the resulting human suffering that has affected millions of Yemenis, in addition to highlighting the responsibility of the Saudi regime and its role in besieging and starving the Yemeni people and the resulting severe damage to the living, service and economic situation.

The campaign affirms that the years of siege have not succeeded in breaking the will of the Yemenis or subjugating them, but rather have strengthened their resilience and determination to obtain their legitimate rights, and that the will of the Yemeni people was clearer than any siege, and this was manifested in their emphasis on rejecting this suffering and not accepting the continuation of the siege, ending the restrictions imposed on the movement of people and goods, and lifting the siege completely.

The campaign organizers called on media professionals, activists, and social media users to actively participate in the campaign, contribute to conveying Yemen’s voice to the public, highlight the continued suffering of the Yemeni people due to the imposed blockade and their determination to break it, and enhance the media presence of the issue on various digital platforms.
