Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Yemen Will Not Accept Continued Saudi Aggression and Increased Suffering of Its People, Regardless of the Consequences

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed that the Republic of Yemen will not accept the continuation of the crimes committed by the Saudi regime against the Yemeni people, nor the ongoing policies of siege and escalation that have exacerbated the suffering of civilians over the past years. The Ministry stressed that the continuation of this aggressive approach is unacceptable, regardless of its consequences or repercussions.

In a statement issued today, the Ministry explained that the Yemeni people have been demanding for years the lifting of the unjust siege imposed by the Saudi regime for the past twelve years, considering it a fundamental human right and a legitimate demand that is not open to compromise. However, instead of responding to these demands, the Saudi regime has chosen to escalate militarily and target civilian infrastructure and facilities.

The statement indicated that the Saudi regime initiated the latest wave of escalation with an attack on the city of Hodeidah, after previously targeting Sana’a International Airport. It then returned to target Hodeidah and Kamaran Island again, in a move that reflects its determination to continue its aggression against the Yemeni people, tighten the siege, and increase the suffering of its citizens.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that this escalation reveals the Saudi regime’s insistence on continuing its aggressive approach, instead of addressing legitimate humanitarian demands, foremost among them lifting the blockade and ending attacks on civilian infrastructure. The Ministry held the regime fully responsible for the consequences of continuing these policies.

In closing, the Ministry stressed that the Republic of Yemen will not accept the continuation of this aggression or submit to policies of starvation and blockade. It emphasized that the continuation of the aggression and the increased suffering of the Yemeni people is unacceptable under any circumstances, regardless of the consequences.
