The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) repelled a large weapons transfer by militants loyal to Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham, Sunday, the military’s high command reported.

According to a military communique, the Syrian Arab Army captured members of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham that were attempting to smuggle weapons from southern Damascus to the East Ghouta area.

Among the many weapons seized by the Syrian military, Sunday, were a number of cases of ammunition, tank shells, mortar launchers, and heavy machine guns.

Due to their recent shortage of weapons in the East Ghouta, the rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham have tried to move their munitions from southern Damascus in order to assist  their comrades fighting the Syrian government forces.
