Clashes broke out in the city of Aden, southern Yemen, on Thursday between the recruits of two factions loyal to the forces of the Saudi-led coalition.

Combats emerged in the vicinity of the port of Ma’ala among forces of the so-called presidential protection and security forces in the port after the latter prevented the entry of a Turkish relief delegation, local source spoke to YemenExtra.

The source added that “the presidential protection forces cordoned off the port after the security forces refused to let the Turkish delegation enter.”

The province of Aden and other southern Yemeni governorates frequently witness major security chaos under the supervision of the Saudi-led coalition’s forces.
