The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), alongside the National Defense Forces (NDF) and Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), resumed their assault against Daesh forces in central Syria, Monday, striking the latter’s positions south of Ithriya.

Led by their Republican Guard, the Syrian Arab Army and their allies stormed the Kharaeb Al-Katnah region of northeast Hama, leading to a fierce battle that lasted for a few hours on Monday.

The Syrian Arab Army and their allies were capable of liberating the Kharaeb Al-Katnah area and near Al-Ruwayj, putting their forces at the outskirts of Bir Hasiyah, which is based 15km south of Ithriya.

According to a military source, at least ten Daesh militants were killed during the Syrian Arab Army’s assault today.

Bir Hasiya is an imperious region that is located just south of the Ithriya-Sheikh Hilal Road in northeast Hama.
