High Ranking General in Syria Escapes in Time From a Near Death Situation in Deir Ezzor




One of the top ranking commanders in the Syrian Arab Army, General Mohammad Khaddour, hardly escaped death on Tuesday after ISIS shot fire on his convoy in western Deir Ezzor.

According to a Syrian Army source in the Deir Ezzor Governorate, General Khaddour was being shifted through the recently liberated Thardeh Mountains when a group of ISIS terrorists shot-up the vehicles traveling in this military convoy.

Adding that the high ranking Syrian general was almost killed by the attack, as he was sitting in the front seat of the vehicle that was targeted by ISIS

General Khaddour is considered a very important commandant to the Syrian Army’s Administration, despite the fact that he is viewed unfavorably by many of the soldiers serving under him.

Unlike Major General Issam Zahreddine, General Khaddour barely travels to the front-lines and rarely converses with non-officers; instead, he can usually be found at his headquarters in the city, where is often secluded from he infantry.
