It isn’t currently Appropiate to Pay Attention to Civilian Deaths in Yemen: Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia is trying various means to evade from an international investigation about  killing civilians in Yemen by its coalition. In light of the international inability in regard of the major crimes against civilians in Yemen and increasing calls for international organizations supported by a number of countries, Saudi Arabia ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, Abdul Aziz al-Wasel, claimed that the time is not appropriate for an independent international investigation into human rights violations in Yemen


“We are working together and hope to reach a compromise,” he told reporters on Wednesday

Netherlands and Canada support a decision by the United Nations Human Rights Council to authorize an internal investigation


The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights ,Zeid bin Raad, said on Monday that the United Nations has confirmed the deaths of at least 5144 civilians since the outbreak of conflict in Yemen, while Yemeni civil organizations say that the number reaches up to 50 thousand dead and wounded , mostly civilians ,half of them children and women since the beggining of the war on Yemen


He blamed the Saudi-led coalition over killing of unarmed civilians in Yemen, calling for an international commission to investigate the abuses
