Another Deal for THAAD System Fearing of Yemen’s Missiles

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will meet Marillyn Hewson ,chief executive of Lockheed Martin for military industry, in preparation for a second arms deal in the world, the CNBC network said.

The US network pointed out that the system “THAAD” anti-ballistic missiles is one of the most important deals that bin Salman seek to resolve with the company.

THAAD does not contain missiles interceptor,but used to defending against strikes ballistic missiles very accurately. The deal is expected to cost more than $ 15 billion, since the price of a single battery of $ 800 million, with the desire of Saudi Arabia to buy 44 batteries.

Saudi Arabia will be the second buyer after the UAE, which signed a deal with the United States to buy the same system in 2012.

Saudi Arabia is seeking to obtain the THAAD system in order to protect its territory from Yemeni ballistic missile attacks which are exposed from time to time.

In the same context, Bin Salman has pledged to raise Saudi investments in the United States in 10 years, from 200 to 400 billion dollars.

Saudi indicators of failure are increase by buying the second system of THAAD. Yemeni military operations continue to defense of Yemen from Saudi attacking.
